Seinäjoki

The accommodation situation is good for those students studying in Seinäjoki; indeed, the city has an abundance of student housing around the city. The Marttilan Kortteeri organisation, owned by the City of Seinäjoki, offers housing services to students in Seinäjoki and also assists international students with their housing arrangements. Located in the Seinäjoki city centre near all of the services, the Marttilan kortteeri has a gym for all students living in the complex to use. There is also a utility room, saunas and other places to gather. Each apartment has a broadband Internet connection.

Ilmajoki

Students may live in the dormitory in the vicinity of the school or in the Palonkortteeri student dormitory (address: Kauppatie 26, 60800 Ilmajoki) in the centre of Ilmajoki. The dormitories in the immediate vicinity of the school have four double-occupancy rooms, a common lounge and shared shower and toilets. The students have access to the Vakka student restaurant, self-service laundry, a new gym, a sports hall and saunas. Applications for the dorms are available under "Info for new agriculture students" (in Finnish) on Seinäjoki UAS's website or at the Students Affairs Office in the school. Palonkortteeri has rooms for students and youth: dormitory-type rooms, single-occupancy rooms and family apartments. Information on accommodation in Palonkortteeri is also available on Seinäjoki UAS's website (in Finnish), at the Students Affairs Office in the school or at the superintendent's office in Ilmajoki. Ähtäri

Located in the immediate vicinity of the school, the Koivikko and Lehtikuusikko dormitories offer students accommodation each apartment housing 3 to 4 students. All of the rooms have basic furnishings, and there is a common kitchen and cold storage. The rooms in Koivikko have a broadband Internet connection. Other facilities for students to use include a sauna and laundry room. There is a place to store outdoor and sports equipment.

A modern gym is also located in the building and areas for other types of hobbies, for example a tennis court. Sports equipment is also available for use. The town of Ähtäri also has an abundance of sports and recreational opportunities to offer. For more information, see "Info for new forestry students" on Seinäjoki UAS website (in Finnish). Kauhajoki

Seinäjoki UAS students have the opportunity to reside in the dormitory in the immediate vicinity of the school. Construction on this modern row house type dormitory was finished in 1988. The cosy four-room dormitories have single-occupancy rooms. There is also a living room, kitchenette, two toilets and a shower in the dormitories.

A new dormitory near the school was finished in 2002. It has cosy single-occupancy rooms with modern furnishings. Suupohjan Tili-Isäntä Ay is responsible for renting out the rooms. Contact them at +358(0)6 231 3445 Monday to Thursday 12 - 5 pm. Other local offices, such as Kiinteistö Oy Kauhajoen Rinnekartano (www.rinnekartano.com), also rent out accommodation.

Jurva (in Kurikka)

Students at Seinäjoki UAS can apply for accommodation at the Jurvan Vuokrakodit company. The closest dormitories are right in the immediate vicinity of the School of Culture and Design. There are also dormitories in the centre of Jurva (2 km). The rooms in the dormitories are furnished, and there is a common kitchen, lounge and toilet/shower. Students may also rent accommodation from private persons or enquire about other flats to let.
