The competence of the food chain , agriculture and rural industries


Students know the whole food chain .
Students have a comprehensive understanding of farming as a whole, how farms operate and the work involved in maintaining a farm. They are competent in appropriately cultivating fields to yield profit and in feeding and breeding farm animals with consideration to their health and well-being. They know how to efficiently and safely use machinery needed in farming and to manage and utilise forests in an economical and ecological sustainable way.		 X


Rural area as an operational environment


Students are familiar with the rural networks and are able to function in those networks. They have knowledge of national and international rural policies and are aware of their impacts on the operations and development of regions, rural areas and agriculture.		 x
