Contents

Even if the social and health care services are in Finland by law the responsibility of public actors, namely the municipalities, are great amounts of welfare produced also outside the public services. In this course students learn, compare, evaluate and ponder about different ways to produce welfare and the connections and disconnections to the public sector. The course may contain for example following topics:
- services produced by private enterprises
- societal enterprises
- welfare produced by informal networks such as families and friends
- voluntary work
