Learning Outcomes

A personal study plan and a contract will be drawn up for the student. The contents, extent, forms and timetables of the module will be agreed on in the study plan and the contract. The student will go into the agreed topics.

The student is able to tell about the society, culture and economy of the target region using the target language. He knows how to behave in the working world of the target region by using spoken and written language. The student is able to draw up various work documents like announcements and product descriptions and give e.g. an elevator pitch or a product and company presentation. He understands texts about business and administration in the target language.

The student will be competent in acquiring information about the target region and his field of study. He knows how to increase his vocabulary of the target language. He is able to understand a speech with a normal speed on various topics and take notes and summaries when listening. He also understands texts of his field of study in the target language and is able to draw up summaries and reports based on them.

After having completed the module the student
is able to plan, implement and perform learning tasks according to his study plan and the contract.
has a contentual command of the topics of his choice.
has a vocabulary needed for spoken and written presentations of the topics of the module.
is able to assess his own work process.
The self assessment will be applied in all stages of the learning process.

Multimodal studies: independent learning, lectures and guided practice, spoken and written exercises, group work

Assessment Methods

Student shows his knowledge of the various fields of the module with written and spoken tasks and exercises.
The evaluation of the study module can be based on a portfolio.
An active participation in the lectures influences the evaluation.
Self assessment during the module can be required.
