Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will
be able to analyze the structure of the communication process and the factors affecting the process and be able to apply this knowledge to situations in the working world,
be able to write documents in proper, clear language
be able to create a standardized document,
know how to write job applications and CVs and how to present themselves in job interviews
be able to write good academic summaries
knows how to manage in different kinds of presentation situations
knows the basics of project communication and knows how to write project documents
is able to interpret and handle web-based communication

Assessment Criteria

1 The student recognizes the basic concepts of communication and genres of texts. Communication is sender-oriented: the goal, receiver or the situation are not taken into account sufficiently. The structure of text is disconnected and incoherent. The student has done the presentation.

3 The structure of text is mainly clear and coherent. The student takes goal, receiver and the situation into account to some extent in their communication. The presentation is sufficiently prepared and rehearsed.

5 Texts follow the structure characteristics of the genre. Texts are logical, clear and coherent. The presentation is well prepared and rehearsed.
