Learning Outcomes

Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students know how to assess the implementation of occupational safety during a construction project.

Competence in structural engineering
Upon completion of the module, students know how load-bearing structures behave under various load cases. They will be able to determinate displacements and internal forces for various load cases. Students know buckling phenomenon and its meaning in structural design. Student know basics of strength of materials. Students will be able to use finite element method in analysis of various bar structures.
