Learning Outcomes

Students will analyse and evaluate various research methods for producing knowledge of old age, aging and elderly care. They will analyse the methods used and evaluate the applicability of the knowledge in elderly care. Students will be able to explain the role of research in the production of knowledge. They will identify and analyse various foundations, methods and processes in research. They will become aware of different ways of reporting on the findings, learn to report on the essential research contents and to evaluate the applicability of the knowledge to eldelry care practice. Students will learn to utilize the latest research in elderly care.
