Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will know the genres, periods and important authors of world literature and Finnish literature. They will be familiar with the more significant representatives and their works of Finnish literature nowadays. They will be competent in applying their knowledge when serving patrons and relating the contents of collections.

Total work load of the course is 234 h of which Finnish Literature 130 h and World literature 104 h.

Contents

Genres and periods of literature, History of Finnish literature briefly,
Significant representatives of world literature based on language region, significant representatives and their works of Finnish literature nowadays, Library professional as an expert in fiction.
