Learning Outcomes
ETHICAL COMPETENCE
Students will be competent in working in an ethical manner and behave appropriately when encountering people with a different ethnic background. They will also be competent in treating their colleagues fairly and with respect.
COMPETENCE IN HEALTH PROMOTION
Students will be competent in promoting health as experts in multicultural nursing.
CLINICAL COMPETENCE AND INNOVATION COMPETENCE
Students will be competent in working according to evidence-based nursing principles. They will also be competent in critically evaluating nursing and developing quality in the profession. Students will know how to plan, implement and evaluate a patient's care together with the patient and his/her family members, and with multi-professional teams. They will have command of the common treatments given to patients and know how to carry them out safely and economically. Students will also have a comprehensive understanding of drug treatment. They will be able to work in different nursing situations prioritizing their actions in constantly changing situations. Students will be competent in working as co-ordinators of care and in counselling patients and their family members in the various stages of care.
