Learning Outcomes

Students implement multi-professional practice and outpatient nursing while taking into consideration the patient's age, growth and development stage, the requirements of ethicality and the care and service setting. Students know how to assess the resources of patients and families from different cultural backgrounds and know how to support them in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Students plan, implement and evaluate practice and outpatient nursing for patients facing common health changes and/or problems and/or crises. Students are competent in nursing documentation and oral reporting. Students use evidence-based interventions developed for practice and outpatient nursing to help, support and counsel patients and their families. Students know how to safely plan, implement and evaluate drug and fluid care. They observe asepsis in practice and outpatient nursing. Students know how to support and promote the health and ability to function in patients of all ages. They are able to counsel and support patients and families in self-care in practices and outpatient clinics. Students evaluate their professional competence critically from the perspectives of strengths and development needs.

Assessment Methods

Pass-fail for practical training, including competence test. To pass this practical training period, students must reach the learning outcomes defined and enter their self-evaluation onto the electronic portfolio.
