Learning Outcomes

Students will be competent in using various techniques for making illustrations for given designing assignments.

1. Students will be competent in designing and producing illustrations suitable as originals using several different techniques. They will consider how suitable an illustration is for use as an original, and they will manipulate illustrations according to how they will be used.

2. Students will be capable of adapting their personal drawing style to various illustration techniques and purposed communicative uses. They will be competent in making illustrations, the layout of which has been determined beforehand, and illustrations where they are able to use the layout to influence the value, etc. of the illustration.

3. Students will apprehend how an illustration differs from art in that it serves some external purpose.
