Learning Outcomes

Students will learn to analyse central concepts in caring, nursing and in the social welfare field within various frameworks, and to explore the inter-relationship between individuals and their environment. They will learn the central theoretical, ethical and philosophical foundations of caring, nursing and the social welfare field, and acquire basic knowledge and skills required in a professional, interactive and helping relationship. Students will also learn to seek, analyse and critically evaluate information independently and to practice collaborative learning and working techniques. Students will be aware of the importance of theoretical knowledge and internal entrepreneurship to elderly care practice. They will learn to think in terms of integrating the perspectives of individual learner/student group, as well as theoretical knowledge/practical training.
