LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The student is able to assess physical activity using questionnaire and activity diary. The student is able to assess musculoskeletal fitness, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance, agility and body composition for individuals who are apparently healthy. The student understands the safety regulations and risk factors of fitness testing. The student understands the importance of validity and reliability when choosing and using assessment tools.

Assessment Criteria

Pass:

The student can assess physical activity using questionnaires and activity diaries. The student can choose correct tests and assess musculoskeletal fitness, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance, agility and body composition for individuals who are apparently healthy. The student understands the safety regulations and risk factors of fitness testing, as well as the importance of validity and reliability when choosing and using assessment tools.

Fail:

The student cannot assess physical activity using questionnaires and activity diaries. The student cannot choose correct tests or assess musculoskeletal fitness, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance, agility and body composition for individuals who are apparently healthy. The student does not understand the safety regulations and risk factors of fitness testing and does not pay attention to the importance of validity and reliability when choosing and using assessment tools.

Work Placement
