Learning Outcomes

Students will be competent in organising informtion for network services from the point of view of information retrieval. They will understand the concepts associated with structures and organisation of information in data networks and be able to design and initiate their own virtual collection. Students will be competent in applying the selection criteria for material to the creation of a virtual library and working as developers of electronic archiving of documents and information and electronic transactions.

Total work load of the course is 660 h, of which autonomous studies are 280 h and scheduled studies are 380 h.

Contents

Various electronic materials, Concepts associated with electronic transactions and data management, opportunities associated with electronic transactions. Communicative and structural design of online services as regards information retrieval. Principles associated with creating a virtual library and choosing materials for it.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Contact teaching and online learning. Students will complete part of the course in projects.

Grading will be announced during the course.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is based on the assignments and written exam. Students will engage in self-assessment during the projects and there will also possibly be peer assessment.
