Learning Outcomes

Students recognise and are able to present central managerial tasks. They can recognise, explain and assess practices of good leadership. They recognise and can explain the process of work community development at the levels of individual, team and organisation. They can apply the operation models of good leadership to their own work. Students can assess the meaning of leadership for the operations and success of the organization and personnel.

Lectures 35 h, independent pair work 45 h, guided pair work 20 h, presentation. assessment and discussion of the pair work 8 h, total work load 108 h

Managing a business unit and a team, personnel management tasks from recruitment to ending an employmen, motivating the personnel and sensitivity to its well-being, self-management

Assessment Criteria

Satisfactory (1-2)
The student is able to identify the functions of leadership activities.
Good (3-4)
The stduent knows the basics of leadership in different situations and concerives the functions of leadership activities.
Excellent (5)
The student knows the challenges of leadership in different situations and knows how to act in accordance with priniciples of good leadership. In addition, he/she knows the different functions of human resource management and their use.

Assessment Methods

Exam 50 %, pair work 50 %, both parts must be completed successfully
