Learning Outcomes

Students become familiar with nutrition education as part of health promotion. Students improve their nutrition education skills and are able to use versatile teaching methods and materials. Students become familiar with the realm of the media with emphasis on the use of media as a communication channel for nutritional issues and they are competent in writing about field-related topics in the media. They are able to assess the reliability of nutrition information and apply it.

Students know principles of the nutrition education and know how to promote nutrition issues in their working environment. Student knows reliable nutrition information sources and is able to use them. Students are able to choose the most appropriate methods and materials for the target group. Students are able to analyze the realm of the media with emphasis on the use of media as a communication channel for nutritional issues. Students will be competent in writing professionally about field-related topics in the media.

Students know principles of the nutrition education. Student is able to search reliable nutrition information sources and to use them. Students are able to choose appropriate methods and materials for the target group. Students will become familiar with the realm of the media with emphasis on the use of newspapers as a communication channel for nutritional issues. Students will be competent in writing about field-related topics in the media.

Students are able to choose methods and materials for the target group when assisted.
