Learning Outcomes

Students know and understand the central terms and concepts used in economic science, the role of enterprices in national economy, basics of behaviour of financial markets and understand the functioning and measuring of economic system.

Contents

Lectures, exercises and litterature to make familiar the approach and way of thinking in economic science and the functioning and measuring of economic system. On more detailed level will be lectured the principles of the theory of enterprises and the functioning of financial markets.

Recommended or Required Reading

The lecturers will give the list of basic litterature of economics and the students can choose one or two texts for their studies. Exercises will be given be lecturers during the cource.

Lecturs, exercises and problem solving workshops.

Assessment Criteria

Hyväksyttävä suoritus: opiskelija ymmärtää perusteiden tasolla kansantalouden (makrotaso) ja yrityksen (mikrotaso) keskeiset toimintaperiaatteet ja yleisesti käytetyn terminologian.

Exam and acceplable passing of exercises.
