Learning Outcomes

CLINICAL COMPETENCE

Students will learn the main radiation legislation pertaining to the medical use of radiation and to radiation protection.

COUNSELLING AND MENTORING COMPETENCE

Students will learn to counsel and prepare patients for common radiological examinations: X-ray, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and for radiological treatments.

Producing X-rays and the main effects of radiation on health. Legislation pertaining to radiation, its medical use and radiation protection. Preparations, the examination process and follow-up for radiological examinations.
