Learning Outcomes

Students are able to evaluate, plan and implement a development project in a service organization for elderly people and to demonstrate their professional competence. Students interpret and assess development targets and use quality management tools to develop the elderly care.

Contents

Practical training in a service organization selected by the student, including familiarization with the quality management and evaluation of services in the organization. The student carries out a development project in collaboration with the staff of the work community.

The same material as for the course Evaluation, Development and Quality Management in Elderly Care Services. Other literature on the topc chosen by the student.

Assessment Criteria

Pass:
Students have a good command of the most important methods pertaining to the quality management, evaluation and development of elderly care. Students recognise and bring out development challenges in their action and in the placement. They act in a coherent and consequent manner. Students evaluate ther growth as developers of elderly care. They observe the instructions for written work.
Fail:Students have a limited command of the methods pertaining to the quality management, evaluation and development of elderly care. Students bring out some theoretical knowledge in discussion, but their application of knowledge in practice is still lacking. Students' interaction with the staff and clients is reserved. They present little reflection.
