Learning Outcomes

Students will learn to analyse and evaluate various research methods for producing knowledge of old age, ageing and development of elderly care. They will learn to analyse the methods used and evaluate the applicability of the knowledge to elderly care. Students will be able to explain the role of research in the production of knowledge. They will identify and analyse various foundations, methods and processes in research. They will become aware of different ways of reporting on the findings, learn to report on the essential research contents and to evaluate the applicability of the knowledge to elderly care practice. Students will learn to seek and utilize the latest research in elderly care.
