Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be competent in:
• Creating patterns for simple 3D shapes that can be used to produce soft products.
• Utilising the tools and ways of working in a sewing shop.
• Identifying different types of materials and choosing the right material for a given use.

Contents

Emphasis in the course is placed on soft materials, the types available and how to work with them. Students will learn how to make patterns for clothing and 3D products. They will also make prototypes based on a product concept.
