Learning Outcomes

Students will independently carry out a project in collaboration with a company. The objectives of the project are integrated into R&D activities. The outcome of the project will be a new product or product range which is professionally documented. The outcome may also be the further development of a concept, prototype or product, which has already been designed, and the marketing and productization of it.

Upon completion of the course, students will be competent in

- independently creating and managing contacts with businesses and have command of the process involved in industrial concept and product design and scheduling.
- enhance their knowledge of business strategies related to design and marketing.
- applying various ways of finding information.
- applying research data based on the future.
- processing documents so they are in line with the requirements for productization.
- taking on the duties of an entrepreneur.

- Preparing professional documents so they are in line with the requirements for productization
- Examining and defining the requirements for productization
- Independent management and scheduling of industrial concept and product design processes

Assessment Criteria

Grading is based on a scale of 1 to 5. The assessment of the learning process requires attendance and participation in the midterm and final critique.

Assessment Methods

Students’ final product and the associated documentation will be assessed based on the set objectives for the project.
