Learning Outcomes
Students will have command over the most essential points of legislation in Finland's social welfare field. Students will be able to explain the course of legislation processes. They will be able to search legislative information and to apply the more common laws in their work as social service professionals.

Grade 1-2:
Students are familiar with the most essential points of legislation in Finland's social welfare field. They know where to search legislative information and they are able to explain the more common laws.
Grade 3-4:
Students know the essential legislation related to social services. They know where to search legislative information and they are able to apply the more common laws to case studies.
Grade 5:
Students know the essential legislation related to social services. They know where to search legislative information and they are able to apply the more common laws to case studies, extensively taking into consideration the meaning of various laws. Students are able to support the learning of their peers.
Assessment Methods
Active participation, exam. Assignments online. Grading based on a scale 1-5.
Work Placement
The course does not involve a practical training period.
