Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to appropriately make presentations in different communication situations. Students will know how to take the target group, situation and the meaning of communication into consideration. Students will be able to recognize the basic elements of rhetoric and argumentation skills. Students will be able to reflect their own presentation skills and they will be able to give feedback from others presentation skills.

Lectures and written and oral independent and group work.

Assessment Criteria

Pass= The student is actively taking part the lectures and the exercises (oral and written) during the lectures. The student is able to make presentations in different kind of situations. The student is able to recognize the basic elements of the rhetoric and the argumentation and is able to use them in presentations. The student is able to evaluate hers/his communication in presentation situations and is also capable to give and receive feedback.
Fail=The student is only rare or casually taking part the lectures and the exercises during the lectures. The student is able to make presentations but is not capable to consider the situation, the target group or the meaning of communication. The student is not able to recognize the basic elements of the rhetoric and the argumentation and is not able to evaluate hers/his communication in presentation situations and is also not capable to give or receive feedback.
