Learning Outcomes

The students will:
- become familiar with central national and international recommendations on health promotion (exercise, nutrition, clinical practice guidelines)
- learn principles and methods pertaining to health counselling and guidance
- know how to counsel/guide people of all ages on health promotion, by using a client-centred and purposeful approach
- understand the concepts and principles of motor learning and exercise didactics and apply them when guiding individual clients and groups
- familiarize themselves with the methods and tools used in exercise intruction and learn to draw up and implement appropriate training programmes for their clients
- know how to apply guidance methods used for fundamental movement exercises and therapeutic exercises when assessing clients' movement and function
- be introduced to massage skills and learn to apply basic massage grips in various situations
- become familiar with the principles of limb joint mobilization and stabilization and learn to apply the methods in an appropriate, safe manner
