Learning Outcomes

Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students are competent in managing and evaluating occupational safety during construction projects.

Competence in structural engineering
Upon completion of the module, students know the properties of construction materials and supplies used for load-bearing structures, and are familiar with the behaviour and manufacturing techniques of the more common structures. Students are able to interpret construction regulations on load-bearing structures. They know how to analyse and design simple load-bearing structures.

Competence in the construction process
Students are competent in negotiating on load-bearing structures with planners, property developers, their own company’s management and supervising authorities.
