Learning Outcomes

Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students know how responsibilities concerning occupational and environmental safety are allocated in house building.

Competence in structural engineering
Upon completion of the module, students are competent in reading structural drawings, and know building materials and their use. Students know the principles underpinning the house design regulations. They are familiar with framed systems and loads affecting structures.

Competence in the construction process
Students are familiar with the stages and progress of a constructions process and with the actors involved. They know how to combine various drawings and how to obtain a construction permit. Students are competent in the techniques and conditions pertaining to concrete technology.

Competence in repair construction
Students know about the types of damage in concrete and are able to take them into consideration in planning and production.

Competence in infra construction
Students have an overview of the properties and use of the infra construction materials.
