Learning Outcomes

Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students are able to manage and evaluate occupational safety as defined by regulations on HVAC and other house technology.

Competence in structural engineering
Students know the systems and operating principles pertaining to HVAC, plumbing and automation & electricity in buildings. They can explain how the house technical work is intertwined with planning and other stages of the construction project. The most important stages of building house technical systems and important regulations given by authorities are also discussed.

Competence in the construction process
Students are competent in negotiating house technology issues with planners, developers, contractors and supervising authorities. Students are also able to interpret house technical drawings to plan the work and to draw up relevant contracts. They are aware of basic electrical safety issues concerning house technical systems and on site equipment. Upon completion of contractor work, students know how to assure their quality.

Students take house technical requirements into consideration in frame construction (installation drawings).
