Learning Outcomes

Having successfully completed the course, students will be able to name and describe various methods, application principles and practices in creative activities. Under supervision, students will find ways to apply the activities studied to their work with various groups of clients. Students will have a positive attitude towards using arts and culture in work in the social field. They will be able to justify their use when seeking to promote the welfare and resources of individual clients and groups.

Student's Workload

Total work load of the course 104 hours, including 44 hours of classroom activities and 60 hours of independent study.

Contents

Extensive use of creative activities in work in the social field, for example:
photographs; the Therapeutic Thematic Arts Programming in rehabilitation TTAP™; visual expression; drama; physical exercise; music;dance; cinema; literature; action-based exercises and workshops.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Action-based exercises, experiential learning. Lectures, individual, pair and group work.

Assessment Criteria

Grading: pass/fail. (Grade 3, equals pass):
Students now how to implement action-based exercises under the lecturer's supervision. Students are capable of flexible, systematic, creative and active work independently and as members of a group. Students act in a responsible manner with other people and with respect to facilities, materials and tools.

They know where to seek information of how to apply creative activities to their work in the social field with different groups of clients.

Assessment Methods

Based on active participation in classroom activities, exercises and assignments.
