Learning Outcomes

Students will examine and interpret old age and aging from the perspective of multi-disciplinary gerontological theories and models on the level of individuals, culture and society. They will enhance their understanding of old age by experiential knowledge presented in fiction and research literature. Students will learn to explain aging as a multidimensional process of adaptation and development. They will learn to apply gerontological knowledge to the practice of elderly care, to its development and to their professional growth.
