Learning Outcomes

Students will understand gerontology as a multi-disciplinary field, which utilises various perspectives and approaches, and become familiar with the multi-disciplinary knowledge produced by gerontology concerning old age and aging at individual, community and society level. Students will learn to plan and implement home visits to promote elderly people's health and welfare. They will also learn to extensively assess and promote functional capacity in elderly people living at home or in care settings.
