Learning Outcomes

Students will be familiar with the categorisation of plant diseases and pests as well as the factors influencing the development/growth and life cycle of them. Students will be competent in identifying plant pests and chosing an appropriate method to destroy them.

Grade 1. The student classifies plant diseases and pests into the groups. The student lists factors which affect their development rhythm and life cycle. The student identifies the most general diseases and pests and lists their control methods.

Grade 3. The student classifies the plant diseases and pests into the groups on the basis of different factors. The student explains factors which affect their development rhythm and life cycle. The student identifies diseases and pests on different plants and chooses control methods suitable for them.

Grade 5. The student compares plant diseases and pests and classifies them into the groups on the basis of different factors. The student examines and analyses factors which affect their development rhythm and life cycle. The student identifies the diseases and pests of different plants, designs their control methods and justifies the usability of the different methods.
