Learning Outcomes
Students become aware of the potential of welfare technology in welfare services and Finnish society. Students learn what kind of possibilities and limiations user-oriented technology can involve in the promotion of clients' social engagement and ability to function. Students describe and reflect on ethical issues related to welfare technology. They learn to tell digital stories.

Contents
- welfare technology, digital stories
- special needs of various clients groups
- the student selects a topic suitable for a client group and produces a 10-minute digital story
- The contents of the story can vary according to the student's interests, for example:
- culture (eg. entertainment, environment, nature, hobbies, spirituality, old times)
- physical exercise (sports counselling, gymnastic exercises, relaxation)
- health (health counselling, beauty and wellbeing)
- information channel (counselling, information spots, technical support)
- some other topic

Assessment Criteria
Pass/fail
Pass: The student has produced a digital story. In the self-evaluation, the student reflects on the benefits and disadvantages of welfare technology from the perspectives of the individual, community and society. The student recognises ethical issues related to welfare technology.
Fail: The student does not complete the digital story or the story is very lacking. The student's self-evaluation is lacking.
