Learning Outcomes

Students will:
1. gain an understanding of the habits of highly successful people;
2. gain an understanding of what constitutes effective communication;
3. gain an understanding of how to plan for and run effective meetings;
4. gain an understanding of leadership, management, qualities of effective leaders, and leadership styles as they apply to their working and personal lives.

3. student preparation time and submittal of guest lecturer summary reports—6 hours

6. students preparation time and submittal of habits they want to develop to be successful—3 hours

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

No previous college studies are required. However, the student must have an active interest in developing their working and personal life leadership and management skills

Students will:
1. be required to identify the habits of successful people that they would like to emulate and develop in themselves;
2. apply oral speaking skills to in-class graded presentations;
3. participate in meetings associated with assigned class group projects;
4. develop individual student vision, goals and strategy statement for their working and personal lives;
5. develop a personal list of principles and values that will guide them as they live their working and personal lives;
6. develop a leadership and management report focused on both their personal and working lives.
