Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the calculation and analysis of nutrient budgets. Students will also acquire skills to develop the nutrient budget of a farm.

Assessment Criteria
Grade 1. The student can calculate the nutrient balance of the farm at least in one way and lists factors which affect them. The student will find ways which can be used to develop the nutrient economy of the farm.
Grade 3. The student can calculate the nutrient balance of the farm by hand and at least on one ADP programme. The student explains how different factors affect the balance. The student analyses nutrient balance of the farm and interprets the nutrient economy of the farm.
Grade 5. The student can calculate the nutrient balance of the farm both by hand and using the ADP programmes. The student considers and justifies factors which affect the balance. The student analyses the nutrient balance of the farm and proposes concrete developing measures of the nutrient economy of the farm.
