Learning Outcomes
Students will learn to construct and improve their professionalism and internal entrepreneurship in a goal-oriented manner. They will learn to take notice of the unique nature of each individual. They will know how to give costructive feedback and how to make the most of the feedback given to them. They will acquire skills in being participating members of a group. Students will learn to use a reflective, research and development-oriented approach to work and to encourage their work community towards reflection and development. Students will learn to reflect on their values, attitudes and actions from the perspective of professional ethics.
Student's Workload
This study course will continue throughout the studies for a total of 78 hours. It will involve a private conversation with the tutoring teacher each semester and a day for presenting portfolios (6 hours).

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
Introductory lectures, group discussions, personal discussions, compiling and presenting a portfolio. Potentially visits from alumni or other visitors; other learning methods based on students' own ideas.
Assessment Criteria
Pass/fail (pass =grade 3)
Students practise reflection and are able to explore their own action and the work community' action, especially from the perspective of professional ethics. Students know how to evaluate and reflect on their own professionalism and action as future Bachelors of Social Services from the perspectives of subject-specific competences and various sectors of social field work. Students know how to use a reflective and research and development-oriented approach in work communities in the social field. They are able to evaluate the significance of their actions in the light of client needs and anticipate the consequences of their actions. Students can act and make decisions in situations which involve value conflicts.
Assessment Methods
Active participation in orientation lectures and group sessions, preparation for personal discussions and target-oriented construction of portfolio.
