Learning Outcomes
Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students are able to manage and evaluate occupational safety as defined by regulations on HVAC and other house technology.
Competence in structural engineering
Upon completion of the module, students know the systems and principles pertaining to HVAC, plumbing, automation & electricity in buildings. Students are able to interpret the regulations and norms given on house technology. They understand how the house technical work is intertwined with the other stages of planning and construction. Students know how to arrange the water and electricity supply during construction.
Competence in the construction process
Students are competent in negotiating house technology issues with planners, developers, contractors and supervising authorities. Students are also able to interpret house technical drawings to plan the work and to draw up relevant contracts. Upon completion of contractor work, students know how to assure their quality.
