Learning Outcomes
Students will be competent in communicating appropriately and purposefully in various communicative situations in working life.
They will be considerate of the recipient, and be aware of the situation and the demands of the profession. They will be able to communicate in an organised, clear and convincing manner. Students will also be able to evaluate their own communicative skills. Students will recognise the multicultural aspects of communication. They can write the most common documents needed in working life and know the norms of everyday language.

Assessment Criteria
5 Students can communicate in a skillful and convincing way and take into consideration the aim, situation and the recipient. They can act in a responsible way and in according to their working place customs and rules with regards to their communications. The interaction in communicating is very skillful. They can recognize cultural influences in communication. The structure of their written text is chosen according to the text genre needed. The text is logical, fluent and argumentation is varied and convincing. The examples given are appropriate, effective and considered. Students can evaluate their communication realistically according to the aim, purpose, recipient and profession.
3 Students can partly take into consideration the aim, situation and the recipient. They can sustain communication. They can recognize the cultural influences in communication to some extent. The structure of their written text is mainly logical, fluent and argumentation is varied and convincing. The examples given are appropriate. Students can evaluate their communication in some aspects and to a certain extent realistically.
1 Students can communicate only from their point of view; they cannot take into consideration the aim, situation and the recipient in their communication well enough. The structure of their written text is not logical or fluent and argumentation is one-sided and sparse. The examples given are sparse and not appropriate. Students can evaluate their communication only from their own point of view.
