- be competent in selecting the right glue and surface treatment based on the type of wooden element being treated.
- be competent correctly gluing and surface-treating different types of wood.
- be able to solve possible problems associated with gluing and surface-treating wood.

- Chemistry of physics of gluing wood
- Glues used in the wood processing industry
- Techniques for spreading, pressing and heating glue
- Reasons for gluing mistakes and testing seams

- Composition and properties of paints and lacquers, and application and hardening techniques
