Learning Outcomes
Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students are aware of the responsibilities of the actors involved in a house building project and understand the importance of scheduling for occupational and environmental safety.
Competence in the construction process
Students are aware of the significance of construction in society and they know the actors involved and the stages and progress of a construction project. Students know the basic principles of property development. They are able to seek information independently to develop their communication and interaction skills. They know what is required for obtaining a construction permit and know how to calculate the area and volume of a building. Students are also introduced to how to choose a planner and make a planning contract.

Contents
Construction as part of society, actors and stages of a construction project, scheduling, general conditions for consulting, obtaining a construction permit, area and volume of a building, concepts of cost information in a construction project

Assessment Methods
For the examination assessment scale 0-5; for the assignment pass/fail. In the exam, students must pass 30% of the maximum.
