Learning Outcomes
Students will learn to plan, implement and evaluate end-of-life care and become motivated to keep up to date with research and practical development work in end-of-life care. Students will be able to develop end-of-life care in various service provision systems. They will learn pain management methods. With help of their theoretical knowledge foundation and relevant research, they will learn to observe and support old people's end-of-life process and the adaptation of the patients' significant others.

Grade 5:
Students know how to plan and develop end-of-life care of old people at excellent level and they are motivated to keep up to date with research and practical development work in end-of-life care. Students are able to develop end-of-life care in various service provision systems. With help of their theoretical knowledge foundation and relevant research, they are able to critically analyse old people's end-of-life process and the adaptation of the patients' significant others. Students have command over end-of-life pain control.
Grade 3:
Students know how to plan and develop end-of-life care of old people at good level and they are motivated to keep up to date with research and practical development work in end-of-life care. Students are able to develop end-of-life care in various service provision systems. With help of their theoretical knowledge foundation and relevant research, they are able to analyse old people's end-of-life process and the adaptation of the patients' significant others. Students are familiar with end-of-life pain control methods.
Grade 1:
Students know how to plan and develop end-of-life care of old people at adequate level and they adequately keep up to date with research and practical development work in end-of-life care. With help of their theoretical knowledge foundation and relevant research, they analyse to a limited degree old people's end-of-life process and the adaptation of the patients' significant others. Students are familiar with end-of-life pain control methods.
