Learning Outcomes
Students will be competent in calculating the U-value and the temperature distribution of a structure. They will also be competent in interpreting the effect of moisture on structures and understand the principles of diffusion and convection calculations. Students will understand the basics of the physical function of buildings and structures and the basic measurement methods. They will be competent in utilising software to model phenomena related to building physics.

- Air pressure and air flow in buildings
- Calculation of diffusion, convection and U-values
- Heat and moisture transfer, drying of structures
- Planning heat and moisture insulation and the associated structural solutions
