Learning Outcomes
Students will learn to compare the aims and operating principles of nursing and social work. They will be able to define common feature in the two areas. In their seminar work, students will demonstrate that they have initiated the construction of their personal knowledge base for the work in elderly care in the social and health field.

Contents
Aims, conception of clients, goals of activities, helping interventions, ethical principles, the helping relationship, the worker's role and competence requirements in nursing and social work.
Recommended or Required Reading
The same literature as in the Theoretical foundation of nursing and Theoretical foundation of the work in the social field.

Independent integration assignment, to be discussed in small groups in seminars, drama
