Learning Outcomes
Competence in structural engineering
Students know the two basic concepts of statics; the force and the momentum. The know how to draw free body diagrams and how to form equilibrium equations by means of free body diagrams. They are able to utilise the free body diagrams and equilibrium equations to determine support reactions and internal forces of simple bar structures. Students can make a difference between statically determined and indetermined bar structures.
Competence in Construction Production
Student is able to recognize different kind of bar systems: beams, trusses and frames.
Student's Workload
Total work load of the course: 80 h
- of which scheduled studies: 48 h
- of which autonomous studies: 32 h
Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses
