Learning Outcomes

The students will
- be introduced to their learning environment and to their studies in the University of Applied Sciences and to the Degree Programme in Physiotherapy
- know how to take their fellow students into consideration in the student group
- understand how learning is a holistic, life-long process
- be introduced to the theoretical foundation of learning and become prepared for problem-based learning (PBL)
- learn the methods and roles used in PBL
- practise self-directed learning and learning in a group
- learn to use information technology for work and study
- be prepared for online learning
- learn to use library and information services effectively, and
- be familiar with field-related sources of information and learn to seek and apply the information independently.

Students make extensive use of information technology to support their studies and they are familiar with online learning.

Students are well prepared to study in the University of Applied Sciences, both individually and as group members. They are conscious of the necessity of life-long learning and self-development for professional growth. Students know how to seek information independently and to some extent use library services and other sources of information in the field. In the group, they act according to the principles of problem-based learning. Students make good use of information technology to support their studies and they are familiar with online learning.
