Learning Outcomes
CLINICAL COMPETENCE
Students will learn to describe the main legislation and other relevant issues in the medical use of radiation and in radiation protection.
COUNSELLING AND MENTORING COMPETENCE
Students will know how to counsel and prepare patients for common radiological examinations: X-ray, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and for radiological treatments.

Contents
Producing X-rays; biological effects of radiation. Relevant legislation and radiation protection in the medical use of radiation. Preparations, the examination process and follow-up treatments for common radiological examinations.
