Learning Outcomes

Students will be competent in planning the organic husbandry of domestic animals with consideration of current guidelines and regulations.

Student's Workload

Totally 80 h, scheduled studies 32 h (in multiform learning 16 h), autonomous studies 48 h (in multiform learning 64 h).

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lectures and exercises 32 h, independent study 48 h. In multiform learning lectures and exercises 16 h, independent study 64 h.

Assessment Criteria

Level 1 : The student can list the main principles of the organic production in the most important sectors of production. Student can identify the most important changes caused by the transition to the organic production on a farm.
Level 3: The student can explain the main principles of organic production of different species of animals. Student can sum up the phases of the transition to the organic production. Student can apply the regulations and guidelines of organic production s to the conditions of a farm.
Level 5: The student can plan the animal production of an organic farm , also in the phases of transition from convential to organic production. Student can compare alternative plans prepared for a farm.
