Students will acquire an understanding of causes and consequences in treating animals with drugs as well as the relationship of animal drugs to the safety of food and the environment.

Contents
The contents of the course include a discussion of the general aspects of common drugs. Emphasis is placed on the understanding of the appropriate use of drugs with regard to human beings, animals and the environment. Students will acquire knowledge of the legislation pertaining to the administration of drugs to animals from the viewpoint of the animal caretaker.
