Learning Outcomes
Students recognize the importance of social engagement and social capital in promoting citizens' welfare, the function of society and ecosocial sustainability. Students are familiar with the theory and practice of critical pedagogy, social pedagogic activation and encouragement. They are able to assess community's resources and needs for community activation. Students are able to launch, implement and evaluate community activities. Students are familiar with the methods and international models of community social work. Students know social service agencies which have chosen to work based on a community approach. Students how the sense of community is promoted in these agencies.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
There are two different implementation of the study course:
Implemetation 1: Contact teaching, group work, independent study and familiarizing the literature.
Implementation 2: Participating in planning, implementing and evaluating of community activities.
Assessment Criteria
Scale 1-5.
Grade 5:
The students
- have competencies to justify the importance of citizen’s engagement and of social capital in promotion of citizens’ well-being, the function of society and ecosocial sustainability
- are able to compare the theories and principles of critical pedagogy, social pedagogic activation and encouragement
- have abilities to justify and to interpret community’s resources and needs of community activation
- have competencies to create, to justify and to assess a process of community activation by applying community work methods in wide range
- are able to assess in varied ways the methods of community work, the international models of community work and to justify and analyze the field agencies which apply these methods
Grade 3-4:
The students
- can assess the importance of citizen’s engagement and of social capital in promotion of citizens’ well-being, the function of society and ecosocial sustainability
- are able to explain the theories and principles of critical pedagogy, social pedagogic activation and encouragement
- have abilities to interpret community’s resources and needs of community activation
- have competencies to create, to justify and to assess a process of community activation by applying community work methods
- are able to analyze methods of community work, international models of community work and categorize the field agencies which apply these methods
Grade 1-2:
The students
- can recognize the importance of citizen’s engagement and of social capital in promotion of citizens’ well-being, the function of society and ecosocial sustainability
- are able to define the theories and principles of critical pedagogy, social pedagogic activation and encouragement
- have abilities to assess community’s resources and needs of community activation
- have competencies to create and assess a process of community activation by applying community work methods
- are able to recognize methods of community work, international models of community work and field agencies which apply these methods
Assessment Methods
Implementation 1: Independent assignment based on literature, performing the assignment and exam based on lectures and literature
Implementation 2: Participating in orientation, active participation in all the stages of activity and written report.
