Learning Outcomes

Students will learn principles and structures of research, development and innovation (RDI). They will learn the stages of RDI projects, practise how to work in projects and learn creative problem-solving. They will learn to act in a planned and goal-oriented manner in RDI activities. In their development work and in the creation of new knowledge, students will take into consideration the client perspective and ethicality. Students will learn to explore and develop their professional practice and understand the role of RDI in the practice and service provision in the health and social sector.

Contents

Implementing and practising RDI activities independently or as members of a work group. Adequate familiarization with the RDI project expected.

Will be announced at the beginning of the course.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Contributing to RDI activities, multiprofessional collaboration, peer support, independent study. Other forms of teaching and learning depending on project contents and objectives.

Assessment Criteria

Pass (grade 3)/fail:
Participication in RDI activities according to the plan. Students are expected to demonstrate that they can undertake the required research activities, work as members of the group and report on their RDI activities as instructed.

Assessment Methods

Self, peer and outcome evaluation, report on practical training or other product.

Further Information

5 RDI credits. Students contribute to project activities as instructed by their tutors in the degree programme.
